Institutions announce new sources of funding.

The University of North Carolina Wilmington has received a US$10 million gift commitment from alumnus David Congdon and his wife, Helen. the largest in the university's history. The gift will establish the David S. Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics and Information Systems, which will be supported within the Cameron School of Business. An existing campus building will be rededicated as Congdon Hall.

The Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University in East Lansing has received a US$1 million gift from alum Manoj Saxena, executive chair of CognitiveScale, an augmented intelligence software platform. The gift will establish the Omura-Saxena Endowed Professorship to permanently support a faculty position in responsible artificial intelligence. The professorship honors marketing professor Glenn Omura, whose work explores market creation driven by emerging technologies.
