According to Ellucian, a software provider serving the higher ed market, 48 percent
of students who apply to multiple colleges have decided against enrolling in
an institution because of poor communication. In contrast, 87 percent of students
who receive personalized communications from colleges during their application
process consider it an important factor in their choice of which school to attend.
