During this interactive session, teams of deans brainstormed on one of three questions, including future global growth, future demand for entrepreneurial studies, and future overall changes in higher education. The ideas and topics spanned a wide variety of areas, shedding light on the expected complexities of an already complex profession. Deans agreed on the importance of international student recruitment challenges, the balance of entrepreneurial mindset and entrepreneurship as an academic discipline, operating in an environment with increased accountability and greater external focus, the engagement of faculty as champions of change, and serving as "translators" between academe and industry. The graphic representation displays the discussion inset within mountains—perhaps representing the challenges facing deans. But as business schools look to the future as opportunity for doing what has been traditionally inconceivable, who says deans can't move mountains?
